What this is

wuwei.now is a free website. It shows a single still page whose colour, sound and imagery are derived from the visitor's local time of day and the current weather where they are, together with one short written line chosen for that moment. It is a piece of ambient design, made to be looked at for a minute at a time.

There is nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for, and no account. Every part of the site is available to everyone, free of charge, with no advertising and no paywall.

Voluntary support

The only payment on this site is a voluntary donation, offered under the words leave tea. It is a gift toward the cost of running and continuing to develop the site. It buys nothing. Donors receive no goods, no digital download, no service, no membership, no additional access and no feature that is not already available to every other visitor.

Donations are taken on buymeacoffee.com, reached from the words leave tea at the foot of the front page. The amount is chosen by the donor on that page and shown in full, in the currency stated there, before any payment is made. Donations are one-off: nothing recurring is set up, so there is no subscription to cancel.

Donations are not tax deductible. wuwei.now is not a registered charity.

Refunds and disputes

If you donated by mistake, changed your mind, or do not recognise a charge, contact us and the donation will be refunded in full. There is no time limit and no reason is required.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method and normally reach it within five to ten business days, depending on your bank. If you believe a charge is fraudulent, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank — we would rather refund it immediately than have you wait on a dispute process.

Cancellation

There are no subscriptions, memberships or recurring charges, so there is nothing to cancel. A donation is a single payment and completes at the moment it is made.

Privacy

The site stores nothing about its visitors. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. To choose the palette the server reads the approximate location attached to the request, rounds it to about twenty-five kilometres, uses it to look up the weather, and discards it within that same request. Nothing is written down and nothing is shared.

Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider. This site never sees or stores card details.

Restrictions

There are no export or legal restrictions on the site: it is a freely available web page. Donations may only be made by a person who is at least eighteen years old and using their own payment method.

Who runs it

wuwei.now is operated by Demir Alper Hastürk, an individual, from Türkiye. It is not a registered company.
